Australia has one of the highest rates of rooftop solar installations in the world, with more than one in three homes now generating renewable energy.

As systems age, are upgraded or become damaged through storms, hail and insurance events, the number of end-of-life solar panels requiring responsible recycling continues to grow rapidly.

Without specialist recycling facilities, many panels risk being stockpiled or disposed of in landfill despite containing valuable recoverable resources including glass, aluminium, copper and silicon.
